The gloves provide 2 armor in the hands slot and reward the dire scorpion hunt. They follow the belt in the armor chain, giving the player another layer before confronting faster and more durable named creatures.
Their benefit is defensive rather than a weapon damage bonus. Equip them at the armor stand, then continue using the stone sword and deliberate attack timing instead of expecting hand armor to shorten the next encounter.
