Resources and materials
Berries
A common wild food gathered from low red bushes. Berries are useful at the start of a journey because they can be eaten directly and sold to Trader Hesk in lots of ten.
Wood
Fallen deadwood gathered beyond the Haven. Wood is the beginning of the timber crafting chain: split it into planks or bank four logs together to make charcoal.
Rock
Loose natural rock collected from open ground and hillsides. A workbench can knap it into usable stone or crush pairs of rocks into gravel.
Meat
Raw cuts taken from hunted animals. Meat can be eaten in an emergency, sold in lots of ten, or cooked at any fire for a stronger meal.
Cooked Meat
Raw meat browned over a campfire or the Haven firepit. It restores more food than raw meat and improves mood instead of reducing it.
Leather
A cured hide recovered from many animals. Leather is the material represented by the game’s protective armor and equipment.
Fur
A thick pelt recovered from animals, especially cold-weather and heavily coated species. Fur is crafted into medical dressings and warm wool.
Crafted items
Planks
Flat boards split from a log. Planks become sticks and form the structure of boats and beds.
Sticks
Light handles whittled from stacked planks. Sticks support tools, torches, and campfires, making them one of the bench’s most useful intermediate materials.
Charcoal
Slow-burning fuel made from four logs. It provides the heat source in torches and campfires.
Stone
Rock worked into lighter, usable pieces. Stone supplies the cutting edges of early tools and the stable base of a campfire.
Gravel
Rock crushed into small aggregate. Gravel is a finished workbench material and can be stored or traded between players.
Torch
A portable light made by fixing charcoal above a stick. Keep it on the quick bar when travelling after dusk.
Campfire
A placeable source of heat and flame. A campfire protects nearby players from cold and cooks raw meat when it is held over the fire.
Stone Sword
The first dedicated hunting weapon. Its stone edge brings animals down much faster than bare hands and is essential preparation for hostile wildlife.
Stone Axe
A heavy stone tool with a two-piece handle. It is built for weightier work and can be carried on the quick bar.
Patches
A small dressing torn from six pelts. Hold the use button to restore 5% health, or save three patches to make a stronger bandage.
Bandages
Three patches bound into one roll. A bandage restores health in two stages and can be stockpiled to assemble a first aid kit.
First Aid Kits
Nine bandages packed into one case. It is the strongest healing item, restoring enough health to recover from a nearly fatal fight.
Wool
A warm bolt spun from nine pelts. Wool is the upper layer of a bed and turns hunting materials into shelter for the night.
Boat
A two-seat wooden craft launched on water. Boats let players cross open water together and can be picked up again after a journey.
Bed
A portable wool bed on a plank frame. Place it on level ground after dark to sleep; in a shared world, the night advances when the sleepers are ready.
Chest
Shared storage that cannot be crafted. Place it in the world so anyone can open it; the owner can pick up the chest and carry its contents with it.
Dream items
Equipment and armor
Leather Backpack
Every character’s account-bound storage. Equip it on the back to open the inventory; it cannot be discarded, traded, or stored in a chest.
Jetpack
Rare back equipment sold by Trader Hesk for one gold. Equip it instead of the backpack and hold Space while airborne to fly at greatly increased speed.
Leather Helmet
Leather head protection worth 3 armor. Equip it in the helmet slot after earning it from the dire gorilla quest.
Leather Chestplate
The strongest current armor piece, worth 5 armor. It protects the chest and is awarded for completing the final dire lion hunt.
Leather Leggings
Leather leg protection worth 4 armor. Equip it in the legs slot to reduce incoming creature damage.
Leather Boots
Leather foot protection worth 2 armor. The boots are earned during the dire beast chain and equipped in the feet slot.
Leather Gloves
Leather hand protection worth 2 armor. They are the reward for defeating the dire scorpion and belong in the hands slot.
Leather Shield
A leather shield made for the dedicated shield equipment slot. It is registered as protective equipment but has no current acquisition source.
Leather Pauldrons
Leather shoulder guards, also called spaulders. They fit the shoulders slot but are not currently awarded or crafted.
Leather Bracers
Leather forearm guards for the bracers slot. They are part of the equipment set but have no current acquisition source.
Leather Belt
The first piece in the armor quest chain, worth 1 armor. Equip it at the armor stand before pursuing the stronger dire creatures.
Leather Rings
Leather rings designed for the two independent hand slots. They are registered equipment but are not currently awarded or crafted.
Leather Necklace
A leather necklace for the neck slot. It is part of the equipment registry but has no current acquisition source.
Currency
Gold
The largest purse denomination. One gold represents 100 silver, or 10,000 copper; currency is stored as one total rather than as carried coin items.
Silver
The middle purse denomination. One silver represents 100 copper and appears automatically when the purse total reaches that value.
Copper
The base currency paid by Trader Hesk. Ten berries, logs, rocks, or raw cuts sell for one copper, and all prices are calculated in copper.
