A common wild food gathered from low red bushes. Berries are useful at the start of a journey because they can be eaten directly and sold to Trader Hesk in lots of ten.

Food. Put it on the quick bar and hold the left button to eat.
Planning notes
Berries are the gentlest way to prepare for a first trip because collecting them does not require a weapon or a workbench chain. Keep a small stack in the quick bar before leaving the Haven so an unexpectedly long search does not become a food emergency.
Trader Hesk buys ten berries for one copper, but early stacks are usually more valuable as travel food. Sell only the surplus after estimating the return journey. Unlike meat, berries need no fire, hunt, or cooking time, so they remain useful even after stronger meals become available.
