How to craft it
Open the workbench in the Haven, choose Recipes, and select Bed to lay out the pattern. You can also place the ingredients by hand anywhere in the 3×3 grid; the shape matters, but its position does not.
When to make it
The bed places three wool over six planks, a costly pattern whose upstream total is twenty-seven fur and two logs. Gather the pelt supply gradually and avoid converting all fur if the group still needs healing for the route to camp.
Craft it when a stable sleeping site will serve repeated journeys. The bed must be placed on level ground and works after dark; in multiplayer, the night advances when sleepers are ready, so accessibility for companions is part of choosing the location.
