How to craft it
Open the workbench in the Haven, choose Recipes, and select Boat to lay out the pattern. You can also place the ingredients by hand anywhere in the 3×3 grid; the shape matters, but its position does not.
When to make it
Five planks in a U produce a two-seat boat. Since one log yields four planks, gather at least two logs before starting and keep the three remaining boards for another structure or for processing into sticks.
Craft the boat when water is part of a known route rather than as general pack weight. It can be recovered after landing, so one hull can support repeated crossings and shared exploration when both travellers plan the shoreline and return journey.
