How to craft it
Open the workbench in the Haven, choose Recipes, and select Gravel to lay out the pattern. You can also place the ingredients by hand anywhere in the 3×3 grid; the shape matters, but its position does not.
When to make it
Two rocks placed side by side produce three gravel. The recipe ends a material branch rather than unlocking a current tool, quest, or structure, so craft it only when gravel itself is the intended result.
Keeping rock raw preserves the option to make stone later. That flexibility matters before the first sword and campfire are complete. Once those essentials are covered, spare rock can be processed for storage or exchange without interrupting progression.
