How to craft it
Open the workbench in the Haven, choose Recipes, and select Sticks to lay out the pattern. You can also place the ingredients by hand anywhere in the 3×3 grid; the shape matters, but its position does not.
When to make it
Sticks are the common handle and support material for weapons, tools, light, heat, and advanced flight equipment. Two vertically stacked planks produce four, so one log can fund two complete stick crafts after it has been split into boards.
Craft a batch before the stone sword because that weapon opens safer hunting and quest progression. Save later batches for a torch or campfire; the stone axe alone takes two sticks, and using the last pair can leave no handle for an emergency tool.
