Small, quick, and usually still until danger gets close. Rabbits are easy to bring down if reached, but their short sprint is enough to spoil a careless hunt.

How it behaves
It begins to flee at 13 metres, reaches 7.2 metres per second, and rests under nearby cover after dusk.
Hunting notes
Approach from close cover with a stone sword selected. The first hit startles passive animals, so close the distance before attacking and keep enough energy for the chase.
Preparation and rewards
Rabbits are the least durable quarry, yet their small target and sudden burst can waste time if attacked from open ground. Their broad meadow, savanna, and desert range makes them convenient when a journey needs one quick portion of meat rather than a major hunt. Fur is the more notable reward: the sixty-percent chance is useful early in the healing chain, provided the chase does not pull you toward a larger desert or savanna predator.
