How to craft it
Open the workbench in the Haven, choose Recipes, and select Torch to lay out the pattern. You can also place the ingredients by hand anywhere in the 3×3 grid; the shape matters, but its position does not.
When to make it
Craft a torch before a route likely to continue after sunset. It costs one charcoal over one stick and gives portable light from the quick bar, making paths and nearby hazards readable while the player remains on the move.
A torch does not provide the campfire’s cooking and warmth. Since both recipes draw from the same wood chain, make the torch for travel and reserve enough charcoal, sticks, and stone for a fire when the expedition also needs a stopping point.
